Embed titles and keywords into your stock files
Stock agencies read the title, description and keywords that are stored inside an image file. Metadata Embedder writes them into your JPG and PNG files, so the fields are already filled in when you upload to Adobe Stock, Shutterstock and other agencies.
It writes both XMP and IPTC, the two formats agencies read, and it does not re-save the picture, so image quality stays exactly the same. Everything happens in your browser: your files are never uploaded.
How to embed metadata
- Add your imagesDrop in JPG or PNG files. Metadata that is already inside a file is shown so you can keep or change it.
- Fill in or importType a title, description and keywords, or import a CSV — for example the export from the Generator — and rows are matched by file name.
- Check the limitsEach file is checked against the agency limits you choose, such as 49 keywords for Adobe Stock.
- DownloadDownload one file or all of them as a ZIP, then upload them to the agency.
Questions and answers
Does embedding metadata reduce image quality?
No. The picture data is copied byte for byte and only the metadata blocks are added or replaced, so the image is not compressed again.
Which metadata formats are written?
XMP (title, description, keywords, creator, copyright, city, country) and IPTC-IIM for JPG files. PNG files get XMP. EXIF camera data is kept, and you can remove GPS location.
Can I import the CSV from the Generator?
Yes. Any CSV with a Filename column works. Title, Description and Keywords columns are matched to your files by file name.
Will Adobe Stock and Shutterstock read the embedded keywords?
Agencies read embedded title and keyword fields when you upload. Always look over the fields in the agency portal before you submit.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The files are read and written inside your browser and saved straight to your computer.
