Questions and answers
What is a model release form?
A model release is signed permission from a recognisable person in a photo or video that allows the content to be licensed for commercial use. For anyone under 18, a parent or legal guardian signs.
When do I need a property release form?
When recognisable private property is the subject of commercial content, for example the inside of a home, a distinctive building or an artwork. Rules differ between agencies, so check the guidelines of the one you submit to.
Can I use one agency's release for another agency?
Many agencies accept a release from another agency when it contains the same information, but not all of them do. Using the agency's own form is the safest choice.
Is my release uploaded to your server?
No. The PDF is filled in, signed and saved inside your browser. A PDF you open from your computer is not uploaded to Nextools.
Is the Release Generator free?
