Brush Stroke PNG or EPS: Which File Should You Export?

Compare transparent PNG with editable EPS for brush stroke art, including scaling, editing and typical stock submission workflows.

Transparent PNG and EPS can carry similar brush art, but they behave differently after download. The best format depends on the buyer's next edit.

PNG for quick composition

A transparent PNG drops into many image editors and presentation tools. Export it large enough for the intended layout, because enlarging beyond its pixel dimensions softens edges. Check the transparency for white fringes on dark backgrounds.

EPS for editable vector work

EPS can be recolored and scaled as shapes in compatible vector software. Create both from the NexTools Brush Generator, then reopen each in its target application. Dense speckle or bristle detail may make a vector file heavy, so simplify marks that offer little visible benefit.

For a stock submission, follow the platform's current technical requirements and include only formats permitted for that asset type. Keep an editable source copy even if the delivery is PNG.
