A dithered gradient uses discrete marks to suggest a continuous fade. Vector export helps when the pattern must be resized or recolored for a larger layout.
Start with two colors
In the NexTools Dither Generator, build a simple gradient and choose a pixel scale. Compare fine and coarse settings at the size of the intended poster or web card. Increase contrast only until the transition is visible; a harsh midpoint can look like a stripe rather than a fade.
Verify the vector
Export SVG or EPS, open it in a vector editor and inspect the number and arrangement of shapes. Fine grids over large canvases can make files heavy. Reduce pattern detail where it adds no visible value. Test a title over both ends of the gradient for contrast.
Keep a raster preview alongside the editable vector. That helps another person see the intended appearance even if their editor renders tiny shapes differently.
