An ASE file is a practical bridge between a web-based palette and Adobe design applications. It is more reliable than manually retyping many color values into separate documents.
Decide which swatches belong in the set
Extract colors from a reference image with the NexTools Color Palette tool, then remove swatches that are almost identical or do not serve the intended project. For an illustration set, you might keep a background, a dark outline, a warm highlight and a cool accent. Name or document the roles before exporting.
Check the imported palette
Download the ASE swatches and load them in the target application's swatches panel. Compare a few color values with the original palette, especially if the document uses a different color mode. Apply the swatches to a sample illustration rather than assuming the imported colors will look identical in every export setting.
Keep the palette file with the project assets so the same colors can be reused across icons, vectors and social graphics. A palette is not merely a list of HEX codes; it is a consistent decision about which colors carry which roles in the design.
