Upscaling artifacts can hide in a small preview. A consistent inspection pass helps catch them before a file reaches a buyer or reviewer.
Use a four-zone check
After processing in the NexTools Image Upscaler, inspect the center, each edge, the smallest meaningful detail and a smooth area. Look for halos around objects, plastic-looking skin, repeated texture, distorted patterns and changed text. Compare each suspect area with the original.
Review at more than one zoom
At 100%, inspect technical quality. At thumbnail size, check whether the overall subject still reads correctly. Oversharpened edges can look acceptable close up yet make the image harsh at normal size. If a flaw is localized, decide whether a targeted edit can repair it; if errors cover the image, reduce the upscale factor or change source.
Export only after this review. Stock agencies may have different quality and disclosure policies, so check the destination rules separately. A clean file is more valuable than an unnecessarily large one.
